Hello music lovers and welcome to our new website.

 

As music lovers ourselves, Hideous Records is a dream that's now becoming a reality.

We are so excited to have the opportunity to open a music store specialising in brand new vinyl records! 

Born out of frustration at not having a decent new record shop north of the CBD, we have created a small independent store focusing on local and alternative music and also covering the classics as well as new popular artists.  We are striving to have the broadest range of genres, ensuring a huge choice for you, the music lover. 

We opened the store in mid-August 2023 on Oxley Avenue, Redcliffe.  It's a small and humble space, packed to the roof with new records, building a community of vinyl lovers and bringing back the sensory experience of purchasing and experiencing your favourite tunes.  We also sell turntables and accessories and tees. 

We acquire our titles from here, the UK, the US and the Netherlands, and while we offer an online shop, our focus and true love will be the store, creating the connection between customers, music and ourselves.

It's a very exciting venture and we aspire to offer a wide range of artists, great service, and a space for music lovers to share their stories and love of music.
